Very interesting thread. Thanks for sharing it with us.
It's near impossible to find anything cool buried in the
    dirt in Wisconsin

    Fantastic stuff...

We may not quite dig such amazing history here in far north Queensland ~ well much of Queensland overall ~ but we do have a far better odds than Chopperman ~ ( Sorry to rub it in , Mate )

As I have demonstrated in my Blog ~ and even here I think ~ we had a huge Australian and USA forces presence ~

A Big part of my Wish List is to actually find some MORE Axis forces relics ! My ultimate would be to find an item ot three that an Aussie Digger bought back from North Africa which originated with Rommel's Afrika Corp ~ which is not unattainable as the Aussies were renowned souvenir hunters ~

But as been said ~ Thanks you for sharing ~ and inspiring us to get out there and sweep ` dig ~ dig ~

Mossies, horseflies, knats and normal flies , plus ants and spiders (small ones luckily) was massing in the warm weather. Quite the oposite weather today , low hanging clouds and rain , but still , I might get out there again today if it clears up a little as it is the most promising area atm
