finished up a dumping pit today and found a small dumping pit on my way back. Lots of junk but a couple of nice items and a whole bunch of Zelthbahn buttons.

Fantastic stuff...

We may not quite dig such amazing history here in far north Queensland ~ well much of Queensland overall ~ but we do have a far better odds than Chopperman ~ ( Sorry to rub it in , Mate )

As I have demonstrated in my Blog ~ and even here I think ~ we had a huge Australian and USA forces presence ~

A Big part of my Wish List is to actually find some MORE Axis forces relics ! My ultimate would be to find an item ot three that an Aussie Digger bought back from North Africa which originated with Rommel's Afrika Corp ~ which is not unattainable as the Aussies were renowned souvenir hunters ~

But as been said ~ Thanks you for sharing ~ and inspiring us to get out there and sweep ` dig ~ dig ~

Mossies,horseflies,knats and normal flies , plus ants and spiders (small ones luckily) was massing in the warm weather. Quite the oposite weather today , low hanging clouds and rain , but still , I might get out there again today if it clears up a little as it is the most promising area atm
