    Today I went up to a hill which saw some fighting in 1940.

    Continued a bit on the dumping pit after work today. Found two different shoulderboards and some other small bits. I wonder what else is down there,,back tomorrow and dig more

    Of course it is - That's what I figured, Inka -
    The photo (and my eyes) made it look like it had a bevelled rim - the few rounds of WW2 .303 I have has a 90 degree edge to the rim - of course you can see the headstamp - but, would have been interesting to have a Russian rifle there
    Regardless - there was clearly some excitement there a few years ago - great finds!!!!



    Edit - looking at the pics, you can see the dimensions aren't the same as the Russian - still interesting - what the light can do.

    One on the right looks like a Bren strike - great finds!!!!
