Now what do I have here? Anyone knows what this is? it is 10,5 cm across. It has some stenciling on it so I ll chuck it in the oxalic to see if it can become readable again.

The bakelite piece is the bottom part of a German karbide lamp, there should be a swastika on the handle.

Just a few bakelite parts I found last dig. First one is nicely stamped with DRGM , but the other one has not any stamps like it.

Very nice Our house had loads of those installed(We got electricity on 1947-48), now my suspicions are confirmed, they really are German WW2-era. There are a couple of German forts nearby, now I know where my grandfather got all the wiring....
