Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
You have found some fantastic relics.
These are too - awesome!
Was there a loader in amongst the pieces?
Are they MG34 or MG15 mags?
Pit.
I saw a television show about the Danish volunteers in the Waffen SS. They were filming on the hills at the Narwa river, when the reporter picked up a box of MG34 drums from the ground. She said to the veteran. How do you feel when you see this 60 years later?" He answered. I´m just glad Im not the poor soul, who dragged all that ammo up here, and didnt get to shoot it at the Russians!."
..those 08´s, P38, MP40 and all the other guns look as they are still capable to fire live ammo. I´m pretty sure most will do. Is that not a problem to own these relics in slovenia? Here in germany you would go in jail even if you´ve a totaly rustet K98 bold or barrel or a pistol grip or slide, if it is not official deactivated by a licensed gunsmith.
Of curse you need licence, 12 days after the find you must report your find at the local police, than you must give to gunsmit and get a licence that is deactiveted.
.......ah ok, same shit as in germany - happy united europe *lol*
Amazing finds! The best I can do is empty cases and broken crockery!!
