    A very sad find. A wedding ring. I hoped a name was engraved so it could be researched and returned to the family. It was only a "maker mark". I actually do not now what to do with this item. No trace of the soldier wearing it. Not even bone fragments.

    Of note Lars, the owner of the buckle might have done a few years, aluminium buckles were not issued after 1939/early 1940

    Yes indeed, great finds!! The wounded badge and buckle looks to be in great condition, must have been a thrill digging up all of these great items

    A quick google search gave me this info on the wedding ring markings; "Walzgold" refers to "rolled gold", something which was apparently popular in the thirties. "Dublee" I'm guessing is another way of spelling "doublé", in this context probably meaning that the ring was/is part of a pair. Yes, too bad there's no name engraved...
