a couple of small bits today - I do like getting these badges and no doubt that the Canadians were based here then

Can anyone tell me anything about the 2 badges - what era, how/where worn? They were found buried under a pile of white crockery which unfortunately is smashed into many pieces and none that I have seen so far is marked or dated.

    thanks all

    Matt

No doubt about it, Canadian ORs shoulder titles from WW1.

Here are some similar ones (mine are the cutout version but the same) on a jacket:

not much to show for a few hours expect this spoon (and more .303 training rounds). It has the Broad Arrow, which is nice, and I was momentarily excited as it was hallmarked so thought it was silver. Excitment was shortlived as I now think it is silver plated as they also "hallmarked" their stuff. The give away was when I was trying to work out the top hallmark which was "_ _ NS" - and realised this was in all likelihood EPNS, as in Electo-plated Nickle Silver - bugger - wasn't born with a silver spoon and didn't find one either - story of my life ! Trying to date it now to see if WW1 era, but struggling with the research - any EPNS experts out there?
