Many thanks for a very interesting thread. May I recommend The Water Diviner, a film that came out one or two years ago. Apart from a tad cheesy love story, its overall a very good film with personal relevance through my digging expedtions. A universal theme regardless of geographical location.
Hope to visit there myself at some point.

Hansel - I will definitely look up that film! I know that the Turks actually made a music video about the battle which starred Ataturk. Pretty amusing. I will see if I can find the link
