    Default German Skull ring Id.

Hi I'm posting this on behalf of a friend. He recently found this ring whilst out metal detecting in Cornwall. It was in an area where other ww2 badges and other items have been found mostly British and American. The ring was down 7 inches. It has a "800" mark on it which I beleive is the German standard mark for silver content.
Any info would be much appreciated...Thanks.

Not an "official issue" ring, could be an item bought in one of the cantines!...

Cheers Gunny, So it could be a bring back souvenier? We do know that German POW's were billeted in the area. So were these sold to allied soldiers during the war?
