I met a guy at work a while ago who grew up in the North of France, and did a lot of digging in the trenches in France and Belgium. He has built a large collection over the years, but has it stocked in boxes in his house as he has lost interest over the years. Some years ago he sold all the helmets he picked up from the battlefields, as he could get some decent money for them, but all the rest I can have! I'm over the moon, and just can't wait to see what's in the boxes. He told me so far there are some K98k munition pouches that he found in a farm, some bajonettes, buckles, buttons, and so on. He doesn't know what he still has left, but next weekend he is going to claer out he garage, and all the military stuff I can have.
I'll post some pictures as soon as I get my hands on the gear, and hopefully there is amongst the stuff some rare things to ad to my collection.

Sounds great! Make sure you buy him a nice drink for his kindness.
