I thought id start a new thread on these items,just in case they may have been overlooked.They were found along with the empty cases.I cant help think they look like magazines of some type.Any help appreciated

They would appear to be M1 Garand en-bloc clips.

No problem.
Be careful cleaning these cb. The metal is very thin and won't stand vinegar or wire brushing. I'd recommend cooking them in the oven at 150 degrees for half an hour to drive any water out. Then sit them somewhere dry. A month later, have a go at them with tweezers to get the big chunks off
Thanks for the advice Steve.Believe it or not iv already wire brushed them lightly,they seem quite robust.I'll follow your advice on the heat treatment though and hope they clean up. Blimey all this talk of cooking and vinegar is making me hungry
