As i collect relics german helmets there are many stories about where each of mine came from, but who knows ,all i know for definate is they came from ww2 battlefields.one helmet i would like is a relic german helmet from stalingrad, which has provinence that is indisputable ,well thats my collceting goal/i have a lovely quist m40 with about 60% remains of an army decal which the dealer asures me came from stalingrad. The only slight hope it did is of the 6 helmets i bought from him this is the only one that he insisted came from there ,the others he didnt know where the originated from.Heres hoping.

The trouble is the only ones with true, indisputable provenance are the ones you find yourself or you are there when they are found.

Luckily i have many like that from both Estonia and Stalingrad.

If you bought off a 'big' dealer on ebay you were probably taken. There is a guy who makes a bunch of big claims about his stuff all being found at Stalingrad and the money going to this good cause to help recover bodies.

The only thing is a guy I know says no one around there has ever heard of him, nor has this group ever heard of him or gotten any funds from him, and a lot of the stuff he says is from there is pretty strange to have been found at Stalingrad.

This must be the guy who puts on a new Deaths Head ring from Stalingrad every week even though they are all the same !!!
