Japanese Tank Data Plates-Can anyone help??
Hi Guys,
Here's a couple of items recently acquired and as far as I know they came from the fighting in Burma WW2. They are two brass data plates which came from a destroyed Japanese tank the one has what appears to be shrapnel damage to its front the other is clearly stamped "KIRIU". I have tried researching the Kiriu Machine Company Ltd and its activities during WW2 but can find nothing as to what war materials they built etc. Can any members out there read Japanese????? I think the one is Hitatchi electrical and I know they made electrical components for tanks and aircraft and other military applications in WW2.
