HI all
Here are pictures of some of Jayh's recent finds from old bases and POW camps around England. Some great finds ! Congrats Jayh
First up, various bits of marked pottery and a nice gravy boat !
A grease gun by the looks of it....
Just a few 30cals
Big chunk of No 36m grenade
Pressure switch
Nose fuze, looks to be from a 40mm round or similar.
Nice cap badge
Various toiletry bits and jam pot lids
A couple of nice lighters, thought to be American
A lead cow, thought to be a fresian or possibly a Jersey
Nice American button
Now for the POW finds. First up some Italian buttons.
A bakelite lid that appears to have originated from Germany
More POW camp finds. There appears to be two Kriegsmarine buttons here
Markings on a German canteen found on a POW camp.
Part of a cache of 250 German pfennigs (WW2 dated) found in one hole on a POW camp site.
An eidelweiss, made crudely from lead. POW trench art ?
Lastly, a great erkennungsmarken, found on a POW camp.
Some great finds in there Jay ! Any chance of a close up of the markings on the bakelite disc and the back of the anchor buttons ?
Cheers
