JU88 relics found in Wiesbaden Germany

    Default JU88 relics found in Wiesbaden Germany

    My uncle called me one day to tell me he had found relics from a JU88 and we should go see if we could found more stuff.The crash side was deep in the woods he had found it on a hunting trip.All the big pieces had been removed during the war being so close to the city.My uncle had pick-up all the best pieces including(German cross in gold,the JU88 identification plaque and the bomb relist system some coins a iron cross and a few larger pieces.The pictures posted here is what I found.

    Here is a way to display them, these relics are from a JU88 too

    I only have the picture of the German cross.The bomb relist system he gave it to a museum in Germany.But my uncle is sending me a box with some German medals and all of the JU88 stuff is has plus the plaque with the serial number of the plane.I was suppose to take a picture of it last time I was in Germany but forgot.

    Chris, Excellent, get some more photos up when the box turns up from your Uncle.
    Had a look at your book "Meuse Argonne", going to get myself a copy, it looks very interesting.

    I want to try to find out who the pilot was,I think the plaque should be very helpful to find this out plus the German cross 2Italian coins were recovered there .Thank you about my book this was my first one.

    Looks like a Knights Cross!on the top there Thats worth a LOT of money.
