King Tiger Tank Part From Normandy.
Paula the wife bought me this for part of my 50th Birthday. This is a component said to be from the road wheel machinery of a German King Tiger Tank. The part was found with other material on a scrap pile in Normandy area back in 1980. The previous owner had it cleaned and repainted to its former colour. Have to say I was very pleased with it and a few have suggested having it made into a small table. Cheers, Tim.Attachment 822285

Can't say if it is a piece from a Tiger II but if it is it is from the s Panzer Abt 503 !!

Ha ha I like that one Tony but not sure if Paula could stretch that far financially
It looks maybe an axle tube for the drive sprocket.
I think you nailed it there as you can see this actual part on the King Tiger Tank and when we visited Bovington recently I took some close up photos of the piece as it belongs.
An Excellent purchase.
