Metal detecting in eastern Carpathian mountains

Article about: Wonderful finds. Try to detect close to the water, or if possible in the water. They usually throw alot of equipment in ponds. But be careful, they also throw explosives in, that are unstabl

You are right Austro-Hungarian army used this type of dog tags but so did the slovak army. I'm sure of this from the context of discover. I found them with Slovak buttons, badges, buckles in a place where Slovak soldiers were disarm. This place is situated outside my village.

Great pictures - and wow! what country!!!

I love Romania - I scouted Bucharest and Castel Studios for a film-project - I really enjoyed it there.
The movie gun rental house had some serious WW2 arms in it, I was disappointed not to shoot there in the end.

Your finds are great, especially the ZB mags - I have studied this one as I have been rebuilding mine, and that you found one of the Aluminum loaders, too, is particularly cool.
I have many pictures of the ZB being used by troops, but i had always thought these particular loaders to be post-war, clearly they are not only post war.

Great pics thank you for sharing,

    Bună seara,

    Pit.
