    I found these on two separate battle fields.
    Can anyone help me ID. ?

    Bung,

    If you can get some closer pictures so more detail can be seen as at that size the second object looks enamelled which would make it a Roman/Celtic umbonate brooch, but need to see the rear in more detail to be able to help!

    OB, I cant talk for Germany but detecting here in the UK i have found thousands of Roman coins over the years, Roman is probably one of the more common eras. On one site I have a crashed B17 in the middle of a field that produces Roman coins and on another a Spitfire that also produces a lot of early medieval finds. History can be anywhere and everywhere!!

    i think the first one is a dagger sheath that has been squished out a bit the other no idea

    On the other item, the pin on the back, is it like a spring and hinged? A close up of that would certainly help as its small to see much detail but still looks like a Roman plate brooch to me

    The strange thing is that the sheath had a wet stone in it.
