No metal detector.
I have used a metal detector only twice and the only stuff I found is the stuff that go boom.

Article about: This is one of my favorite relic pick-up years ago from the cliffs on Omaha beach where the second US division saw fighting the grenade still has some of the green paint and the yellow ring
