Article about: Hey Swingcat, Steve T is correct in telling you it is a post war link belt, but it is a french 7,5mm belt and not german. I have posted a pic of the french model and the postwar german. The

    this is my favourit Relic item, i dont evenm know if they german or what ever country i just think always how much force is needet to make this kind of damage and somehow it looks like a piece of art

    It looks like it was caught in the travis of a turret, looks cool

    It idoes have a certain charm.

    P120 is the makers code. "P120" = Dynamit A.-G., vormals Alfred Nobel & Co., Werk Empelde, Germany.

    Wartime links are slightly different in construction with little springs between each link.

    thanks ade but the date reads 11 39 sorry for the bad photo, but now i know they are german

    yes and thanks for the info, found them myself during a longer weekend in france just on top of the beachsand, i think some digger must have throwen them away as he did not want them

    something odd here
    i agree with Ade
    if you look at the primer its held in the case by three stampings
    to my knowlage that was not done with german war time ammo ?? again could be wrong
    and the bulet head is very slim an pointed
    7.92 or 8mm in my experiance is much more curved
    i would say thes are 7.62 nato rounds
    but there we go
    the question is the date
    is it a date
    i dont know im not an expert

    It is a date, but I don't understand how they have come to be in post war links. Most odd.

    i dont know, i just found them thats all, and the links look as bent as the rest, maybe someone had them before me and has done something who knows with them, but still nice and look like art
