Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Lucky you mate
I really wish i could come now. I must wait to see what will happen with the economy here now that we are about to get the loan from Troika and then plan a trip.

Troika... bad story!!! I hope the best for you and Cyprus my neighbor! I've read the book of Otto Carius and it was perfect! Very tough times back then!
Thanks Mike.
Yes i'm glad that some veterans wrote their stories in books so that we can learn about those times.

Hello Chris , yes i went to digg in 2006 , i loved it there so much i saved up to go back again in 2007.Alex , Dimas and Paul showed me there beautiful Estonia and shared with me there wealth of knowledge , they realy looked after me .The diggs blew me away , just to be on those historic battlefields was great enought but to be finding relics there was a dream come true for a guy way down the bottom of the world in New Zealand .My biggest hope was to find a helmet the pic shows my dream come true DD m35 , Cheers Raymond
Yeah the guys are great. Really helpful and pleasant to hang out with. Especially for beers at Scotland Yard Pub in Tallinn It would be better if Paul could reply to an email without a reminder, but i still like him anyway
You had a nice find Raymond. The background in your picture looks so familiar. The landscapes there are so beautiful, i wish Cyprus was like that too.
I wanted desperately to find a SS dog tag but i wasn't that lucky. I hope next time though
