No problem It's a useful method Doesn't mean I can ID the piece, but it is a little more recognisable now

A few items that iv found recently.i found the exonite knob at the dump, the other items near what was the armoury. Although the knob could be automotive it just might be something a bit more interesting?dover exonite | bowden wire | exonite | 1913 | 0251 | Flight Archive
Don't know if i use the correct terms here, but the "lump" is IMO a mount/bracket for an axle, possibly with inserted ball bearings. Also i think the knob on top is some kind of grease nipple.
Thanks for your input Datrus,i think you could be right. welcome to the forum
your finding a lot of cool stuff well done

Looks like you've got the remains of a 303 and a 'lift the dot' fastener

Hi steve, the lift the dot fastener, does that have any military signifigance? thought id post them and get you warmed up for the weekend
Hehehe
Anything that needed fastening you'll find a 'lift the dot' Most recognisable one I suppose is the American water bottle cover.....the two flaps are usually lift the dot fasteners.
