This all was found on a farm in Sankt Vith (belgium) close to Ardennes and Malmedy.
The father of the owner of the farm found this by a corpse of a death german soldier.
The gasmask have matching numbers and a name tag but I cant read it.

So I'm guessing that this was chucked into an outbuilding where it has mouldered amongst the hay and animals for the last 70 years????
( I guess its the only way to explain the rusting?? )

    Great find, though!!
    Cheers, Dan

I am assuming it was a head trauma that caused his death ?? Shame the items were not better preserved, but a nice piece of history !!!
