    wow thats amazing, you should do some research on them and contact the next of kin. the owners themselves may still be alive!

    I have but not much luck.Only found info on 45% of them they were killed in action.

    id love to have a dog tag found in normandy

    and luck finding german ones?

    Here my only German dog tag that I found in Normandy on the village of colleville-sur -mere. Could someone tell me what unit it is.

    I will probably give them to the museum at Fort Bragg one day because most of the dog tags that I found were from US paratroopers.But that day is very far from now still will be collecting in my late years.

    Hi a nice collection of dogs, but you say that 45% of the tags checked were kia, this leads me to a question, could these items be grave dug finds, and if so where do you stand re possession of them, were they found by you or did you buy them from others, personally i would be suspicious as to where they came from

    No they were all found by me and not grave dug the reason I know that is because all of them are baried at the Normandy cemetery but one in the USA. IF you find a body there is only one thing to do call the police I did come across one body ww1 French soldier I call the police.

    Chris the unit is 9 Kompanie , Infanterie Regt 132
