    Default permission to seach Germany.Belgium,Netherlands.

    Hello lads.I'm off to a little roadtrip in a few weeks with girlfriend and daughter.Thinking of bringing the detector along.We be passing trough Germany,Holland,Belgium and ending up in France.Where do you seek permission to use detectors in public areas,forrests in these countries?
    Or any suggestions were to dig.

    Hey Paul,
    Check the law thread re diggin in those respective countries.
    For Belgium I can tell you that it is illegal and forbidden to MD or dig in any public forrest or -propperty.
    The penalty's are severe if caugth by police, foresters etc.
    Heavy fines, confiscasion of your equipment, even your car, possible prison sentence, etc...

    I got a temporary permission to dig in Germany near Halbe, some years ago. Find out where you are going/want to dig and then find out which "state" it's located in. Contact their "Ministry of Culture" and/or Forest administration. They will be able to help you out. We got i pretty easy, but also had a German helping us out. I hope this help you.     Trying to get permission to seek on private land, by the owner would be easyer, for Belgium.

    In Germany it might not be a bad idea either But you will have to do quite a lot of research on the areas.
