    Hi John,

According to Ukdetectornet, you can detect in Germany as long as you have a license/permit to do so. Presumably this has to be obtained from the local authority.

I've been to a locallity in Germany for the past 3 years and would like to legally detect and dig in the area. I work with some German collegues and I might ask them to liaise for me. Anyone have any experience with this?
