Possibly a coat hook, from guard room???

hi guys again!

sorry if i am being a pest...dug this up today, from the entrance to an old army camp,....around the area, that maybe the guard room would have been!!..do you think it maybe is a coat hook??..seem to be cast, quite heavy!

Maybe, it does look a bit like a coathook, as you say it seems quite well constructed for a coathook, but then I suppose wet greatcoats etc can be a bit heavy, so you want a hook that's up the job!

Being so heavily made it is more likely to be for something heavier. Intriguing as well that it is 'square' making me think it was meant to slide along a 'runner'. Maybe it's a kit bag hook or something of that nature.
