Question on German War Graves Commission
I have read that the Germans are consolidating the remains of their fallen soldiers into large cemetaries in Russia, Poland, Ukraine etc.
Does anyone know if the remains of anti soviet Russians, Ukrainians, Estonians etc. who died fighting in German sponsored units are treated as German dead and buried in these cemetaries? Or are they turned over to the Ukrainian, Estonian or Russian governments?
If so, are they considered to be fallen Ukrainian soldiers etc. and given military honors?
