Have today received confirmation from Oliver's bother, Ed, that the photo is indeed of Oliver R Jelks Jnr.

This has become especially important as, despite many hours of looking, Ed could not find a picture of his brother in uniform. This picture of Oliver will now be added to the family album.

I am very pleased with being able to return the watch and inadvertently find a picture that the family have never seen !

There was a very small mention of "a watch found by a metal detector on a Cambridgeshire airfield being returned to the owner's family" in the News of the World today.
    I'm presuming it's related.

    All the best,
    PB
