I was wondering when you said you use Hydrochloric Acid is that your solution or do you use that to scrub?

    Hello.

Thought I would share 2 of my latest purchases, bought privately in the UK. There is an M-42 flare pistol and Unique Model 17 7.65mm.
Both are rusted solid but in quite robust, stable condition. I will probably remove the black hammerite paint as not overly sympathetic!relic weapons of ww1 and ww2relic weapons of ww1 and ww2

    Hi

first pass at cleaning up the Unique 17 - have removed that horrible coat of black hammerite paint and think that it looks better in a more natural state. Wont do much more with it I think, apart from a very light rub down and a coating of renwax. Be having a go at the flare gun soon.
Also pictures of my 2 latest acquisitions - must stop spending money . Again from a private collection in the UK and with no moving parts. First is a fairly run of the mill Browning 1922 and the second is a slightly more interesting (imho) Dreyse M1907. I believe it was used in both world Wars, in WW2 by German Volksstrum and Volksgrenadier units.relic weapons of ww1 and ww2relic weapons of ww1 and ww2
