relics from C47 crash site in Normandy

Can you guys tell me what they are.
I think one is a beltbuckle but it could be something else ?
the other something for cigarettes .I was told the marking on it was US military organisation?

Paul is correct, it's a matchbook case, note the striking plate at the bottom. The other one is for soft pack cigarettes, so they don't get crushed in your pocket. This has match striking grooves on either side that also help to keep the packet inside secured. I wonder if the LMS logo stands for London, Midland, Scottish Railways? Then again, it could be read as MLS!!

Thank you for the info,that is what I was thinking .The MLS I was thinking was some kind of military term but just like you the only info is from railways but US.

Chris, when you say C47 crash in Normandy, it wouldn't be one of THE C47s that brought in the 101st boys, would it?????? or just a transport
