Nice spot Rich !!! That is it for sure great little find LS, as is the triangular scabbard
Blimey the old boy was up late tonight, usually its a cup of Ovaltine and a digestive and 9.30pm in his orthapedic bed with side rails and a bed pan underneath
Hi Richie That's a great picture to confirm the ID of the scabbard top thank you for up loading it. Very pleased to know what it is.
Hi Richard, It's off a Bren thats superb , it just shows it's always worth keeping the smaller bits in fact all bits because they can often turn out to be the most interesting relics. Thanks for the schematic picture good to see it in position.
All the Best.
Here are some more photos of the Bren Butt Mk2 fitted to Bren Mk1 and 2.
This ones for LS
Good job with the cleaning LS, always makes an interesting post :-)
m3 I love your pictures, are any of the Brens yours? very nice. Also the G98 photo is a perfect match for my original, excellent find its like 'before and after' only seperated by at least 50 years burial and perhaps a burning or two. Great Work
WH Thanks mate the relic cleaning from this site is slow work, but it's worth the effort in the end.... I think
Top photo is of one of my SKN Brens, second is of a Mk1 im selling and bottom is one I sold a while back. I'm not short of a few Brens, I think it was about 65 at last count. Then throw in the STENs, Enfields, Pistols, Thompsons, Brownings, SLRs etc. and you now see why I need a bigger attic!!
m3, You own how many 65 Brens not to mention the others, I'm awe struck thats more than most military museums!! What a collection, it must be one of the best private collections in the UK. Your loft must be full and have a very strong floor .
Thanks for all your help.
