Hoorah my bug has been squashed, damn awkward little bugger, thanks skypilot for preserving my sanity and you WH for showing the item in question as in situ
Oh WOW ! Well done WH ! That picture has just identified two of my bits that were on the verge of being consigned to the 'probably something but I can't be arsed cleaning them' bucket. I have got one each of the bent handles on the top of the tripod
PS I won't slap you on Tuesday now for that
It looks more like it may be from a 1917A1 tripod rather than the vickers. I'll get a photo of mine for comparison.
OK, Here is a shot of my British Service Browning 1917A1 tripod. Typically, I took a photo of the wrong side!
Yes I'm still alive! (almost wrote I'm still Alice then)
I have been cleaning bits, just rubbish at posting pics on here and tell you about it. So here's a few pics, sorry for slacking, but here is a little update for you...however I left it too late to take pics tonight sorry, lots more clean bits unphoto'ed
Where the heck did you find that NF badge ? Jammy bugger.,....
I'm not gonna tell you as you would really be pissed off! but, do you remember that big lump of burnt crap you gave me... well after a lot hammering and sifting through shit... it appeared and cleaned up good thanks Steve
That was funny, i remember you giving it to him Steve, and he moaned about a crappy lump of metal, mind you, you both sound like two pots calling the kettle black, both as jammy as Robinsons
Ffffflipin eck guys! WELL DONE!
I'm gobsmacked at what you've turned up and well chuffed for you all. Carry on please and with the picy sharing too.
