Those "viking" weapons are probably more like ironage or perhaps even late bronsage. The reason for me asking is that they clearly have been ritually sacrifised.
You can see that by the twisted metal. Blade of the sword and the speartip. Usually during the bronzeage and ironage they sacrifised weapons and tools by destroying them and then toss them into lakes and bogs.

    Hi Akolans,

I am new for battlefield archeology but I would like to get into the search on east front. Do you think it is possible to organize an "hunting operation" in your area?

Despite the "lonely spirit" of any relics hunter I think there is enough to dig up to organize groups of fans to visit some interesting areas. This could be also positive to do some team work with historical purposes.....

    привет

No, You are wrong. The weapons is dated 9-10 century. With them were the typical Viking fibels("tortoise" type) . In our region it is common that veapons are damaged. May be it was done to prevent the grave from digging out. The veapons were very expensive in those times.

I`m not sure about the team, but individually...may be possible.
    Because of our laws...
