    This is a common pipe some years ago here in Italy but it came from a german trench. Someone have photo of soldiers with a pipe like this?

    (just a thought) never seen a pipe quite like that in pic 1 could it poss be Roman maybe even picked up by a german as a souviner and lost at a later date

    I not think because pipe like thus were produced in Italy until 1960-70.

    The items in the third picture look like the plate of a lead acid battery.

    That "fragment of a mg42" looks an awful lot like a spark plug to me! But maybe I am wrong...

    Photo #4: Automotive spark-plug. (No idea what it could have been fitted to).

    #4 - Spark plug
    #5 - Oil filter top
    #6 - Possibly oil filter bottom

    I think the "Fragment of an MG42" is the buffer assembly from an MG34. I'll have to look at mine when I get home.

    Well, I was wrong. It's not the buffer assembly from the MG34. It's the buffer assembly AND part of the stock fitting from the MG34.
