No I couldn't find it on the B17 parts list.
Might hang onto it for another year or so just in case it turnes out to be somthing good.

Can anybody tell me what this is? I've looked but can't find a match for it.
    It's 99% a B17 part.

I can't find what it is.

Am I right in saying that any items such as engines which were shipped to the factory as assembled units would not be in the Parts Manual? Engine parts are the only ones not in the Manual that I can see.

    GK32 prefix makes it a Ford-built B-24 component Andy.
The C indicates it is part of the control system.

Looks like a control cable linkage or actuator. All of which were not hydraulically assisted on the B-24, unlike the B-17, so they handled pretty heavy.

    That's pretty much it Martin.
Non aircraft-type specific items such as engines were supplied as Government Furnished Equipment, and almost always had their own manuals.
GFE items included props, engines and some engine accessories, turrets, guns, gun mounts and adapters, gunsights and heaters etc.

    All the best,

It's a bit that's been knocking around for ages and I only got round to cleaning it last week. Thanks for the ID.
