That is a great lantern Bob. One really big chunk of Bakelite! I'm suprised that lantern didn't get worn out by someone using it for light in their house post war. Very rare item over here in the states. Thanks for showing.

used again if I knew how to use it. It uses carbide and water (I believe).

I lit mine last summer (camping in N Germany), It is the same as yours and I posted the pics and how to light it etc on here, I don't know how to link back to old threads but if you search you might find it.
