This soldier was in a construction battalion. We found only his dog tag and a few buttons on his pants. That's all.

    Hey there Sebastien,
Did you report that you found the body of that soldier? I think it is nice if the family of that soldier knows.

    You have an awesome hobby!

    Kind regards,
    Remy

The first of January, I found nothing)))

and yesterday I found an interesting position. It was a bunker where exactly was the wood stove.
Sorry, that photo little informative, I was alone. The photo shows - the hole was very deep.

First thing, congratulations on starting another year on this very interesting and exciting thread. Secondly a word of caution, when digging such deep holes it is never good to be alone. In my younger years I too dug very deep and when things collapse it is surprising (a) how quickly it happens and (b) how little soil can knock the air out of your lungs and pin you down. Anyhow I'm sure you know what your doing as where you are digging looks very solid and I'm sure moving all that soil kept you very warm. Stay safe and good luck for 2015.
    Cheers, Mark.

Yesterday, we have been again in the field.

Our excavations began with a fact - my shovel broken ... This is the third spade for this year ...
Fiskars company makes comfortable shovels, but very unreliable. I think a thin metal tube, it is very bad

Stalingrad: digging near Gorodisсhe & Gumrak

we had yet another shovel ... work continued

this is the same bunker where we found the remains of the driver, and the first thing that we found was GMU buckle.
