Stalingrad: digging near Gorodisсhe & Gumrak

This weekend evening...
I with my girlfriend walked through the fields next to the house, it is the south of Stalingrad, Be****vka point

I was looking for military artifacts at same time she sculpted snowman... not man))) snowwoman




I found only rusty metal and this one bayonet for the Mosin rifle...

This Sunday I was in the north of Stalingrad. The positions of the 16th Panzer Division ... „Nordriegelstellung“
dug up big hole)

first find: These are the two shells KWK38 5 cm and KWK 40 7.5 cm... somewhere near the tanks PzIII and PzIV drove through the position...






in this hole, I found the remains of Soviet Helmets SSh40... this was position 84 rifle division...







Then I walked across the battlefield and found a position 10,5 cm leFH 18

seven 10 cm shells and six remains of ammunition in good condition

Last week here in Stalingrad was warm ...

on Friday, I visit again the battlefield near the village Gorodisсhe... and found German bunker that has been burned



I dug up the German helmet M40 in a very bad condition







also dug up 13th of shovels ... this is a record)))

Part of the wing of the Soviet aircraft was in the bunker, it was used as a overlapping bunker...

Again I came back from the battlefield... Torday I was alone becouse my friend worked
And again near Gorodisсhe I found a short trench, and there was 5 German soldiers... Panzermen...
Now my camera broke and I used a mobile phone...

Last weekend, I went back to the place where we found ratchet propeller of the Soviet aircraft...

I used a metal detector, I found a place where a lot of pieces of duralumin



I dug up a lot of different fragments of of the aircraft

Now I have information that these fragments are not from the IL-2.
That evening, I had very little time and the weather changed. The temperature dropped sharply, and the wind was very strong.

Now the ground has frozen. And we are waiting for warm weather or when the spring will come.
