Article about: by Sebastien I have not the metal detector I am feeling my ass where to dig Right now I have eyes, hands, feet and my spade is all that I use in my hobby

    Hi sebastien,
    You are very lucky to have such places to dig, i would love to go there some day. Thanks for showing your finds, It is interesting to know what else you have found.

    Sebastian have you dug those in the last day or so ? It's still -15 to -20 in Volgograd !!!

    When i have dug and Toured there we never go until at least March / April time.

    Do you know Galina Oreschkina from Gorodische ?

    The sight looks like it may be off a mortar or maybe heavy mg

    I know Galina Oreschkina, but she unknows me)))
    You must know that Galina is very popular woman in Military Archeology by Volgograd)))
    About find:
    things on the pictures found in last Spring, Summer, Autumn (2009). I said that season 2010 just begins.
    Now, at Stalingrad is very cold, like Winter 1942, really))) brrrrrrr.....
    But last weekend I went to Gorodishe, it was in vain. I found only a few rusty bullets and shell fragments and frostbitten my ass)))

    Hello Sebastian, I always prefer to see the ground dug items more than the untouched or unissued ones. I think they show so much more of their history! Thank you for your photographs - Australia is a long way from Europe so we can only dream of digging like you can!

    Sorry Sebastian i see now !!! Still a bit early for digging now but i commend you for going out and trying in those temperatures and the snow , as you say just like the winter of 1942

    Nice finds in the summer, i look forward to seeing your finds when the weather breaks for this year.

    I Know Galina she must be one of the most famous women in Russia in Military Archeology !! Have you seen her museum at Gorodische ?? I have drunk tea and Wotka with her before , she got me very very drunk !!!!!!!!!!!
