This is terrible news Sebastian. I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friend.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Mods, after this terrible news, can we move our departed member to the in Memorium list?
I know he was a member here for a short while - but deserves his "notch on the wall"

Hi Dan, yes, I have done this.
Cheers, Ade.

Very sad Seb. But good that you had the opportunity to meet him and gain that friendship. Collectors reaching across the globe in friendship. Long may it continue.
Some good spare parts for motorbike restoration there
And very sorry to hear about your digging buddy.
we are only here for a short time so we must make the most of it
Hi guys
long time without me
Now I'm thousands of miles away from home. There's a snowy taiga ... I'm on a business trip.
It was January last year.
I went to steppe to find German bunkers in a large field mext to Gumrak.
But I found a bunker with many Soviet soldiers.
only in the spring I returned to this field.
My friend and I dug up 12 Soviet soldiers. They are all nameless.
Also in the bunker we found different military items. Soviet mess-tin, car wheels from Horch 108 and Sdkfz 251
We delivered all soldiers to the military cemetery.
Probably these were soldiers from the 65th Army of the Don Front. They were killed in the attack on Gumrak in January 1943.
Good to hear from you again Sebastien........Those were good finds that you dug at Gumrak. It's a pity that all the Soviet Soldiers
that were found have no identification. Thanks for posting and the pictures.
Tks,
