I got the eternal glory you promised
It felt familiar from my military service in sweden. It is the swedish panzer beret 1960, not ww2.

    One free day.
Excavations near the German bunker, where I dug up Spanish cross. I had a shovel, and my friend had a metal detector E-Trac.
First we found a Russian coin of 1903.
Near the bunker we found a few Soviet coins. 18 pieces.

And then near the next bunker, we found part of the German dog tag. We also found a few detonators ZZ-35 and a T.Mi.Z 35 and german gas mask case.

    Part of the German badge:
    2. / Str.B.Btl. 523
    2 Kompanie Straßenbau-Bataillon 523
What can you say about the military unit? Which division?

Asd this is a road building Btl it would not have formed part of a Division but would have been a Korps or Armee resource to be deployed whereever it was needed.

    cheers
