    Default Unidentified Bastogne Relic

    Hello,
Just joined the forum, and am enjoying reading all the interesting posts!
About a year ago, i visited the Bastogne area, and found some fox holes in some woods. I found several fired cartridges, a bullet head, and this tin. I have got no idea what nationality, or what this tin contained.
    Has anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks Jimbo.

Hi Jimbo, welcome to the forum!

It is a medicine tin. "Fortacyl" was a name given to this chemical compound used for headache treatments etc. I did a search on it and found that modern research has banned it, as it was found to cause cancer.

    Cheers, Ade.
