Most sites that have WW2 History waiting to be dug up are usually full of smaller, or a lot less complete items. I thought this was worth sharing, might not be as exciting as some other things, but none the less still very nice and thankfully saved for all to see

News report with it "as found":

The Courier - Rail wagon found at Tentsmuir 'saw the trenches'

Some photos I took yesterday, unfortunately it was raining though:

    Danny,

Thanks for drawing our attention to this, What an interesting relic of both World Wars and also linked with the airfield history as well. A lovely relic, I wonder if there are any more hidden under the dunes that will appear again one day.

    Cheers

Theres more than likely more, I've found loads of other things in the sand such as barbed wire pickets, rolls of unused barbed wire, tail sections from mortar bombs etc so I would think its very likely. I've heard that sections of the track have been exposed, however I'm yet to find them.

    Thanks

    Danny
