Unknown folding shovel

Article about: Hi there I am back we start to destroy ruined house next to our house we found there a lot of old metal mostly agricultural equipment but we found there I think that it is bayonet case it is

    Hi there

    I dig in our garden a strange folding shovel i think its is an army shovel but cant find from which army or year. I found there a wehrmacht stahlhelm too.
    I hope that somebody there will be able to identify that shovel

    I have no idea about the shovel, but if thats the kind of thing you are finding in your garden.......wow

    I heard rumors that there should be a soviet pps 41 somewhere in our garden I hope that I will dig it.
    We have house in village in hills where soviet and slovak partizans were.

    The shovel is Hungarian, found a picture II. villágháborús gyalogsági ásó Nincs Minimálár!

    I'm using one for gardening. Very sturdy

    You're welcome. It can be cleaned easily. And a wooden piece for the tail isn't hard to procure.

    Here is the shovel after some cleaning with lemon acid
    I cleared a lot of rust from folding mechanizm but it still dont work

    Looking good so far...

    But you can use a rotary brush attached to a drilling machine for a faster cleaning. And the mechanism can be unstuck by fixing the blade in a vice and force the tail section left-right with a longer piece of pipe put over it.

    Before that, you could tap the mechanism with a small hammer, so the small bits of lose dirt and rust would fall off.

    And also a bit of WD-40 or other penetrating oil on the mechanism would help

    It's not a flimsy piece so a bit of rougher treatment won't hurt.

    Rotary brush and hammer already used i wil try to move it with pipe as you say. I am carefull because its my first thing that I dig

    Please post pic of wooden handle if you could.
