Yes ! Keep digging !!!
Regards, Steve.
Thanks
I heard rumors that there should be a soviet pps 41 somewhere in our garden I hope that I will dig it.
We have house in village in hills where soviet and slovak partizans were.
The shovel is Hungarian, found a picture II. villágháborús gyalogsági ásó Nincs Minimálár!
I'm using one for gardening. Very sturdy
Cheers.

Many thanks for identification
You're welcome. It can be cleaned easily. And a wooden piece for the tail isn't hard to procure.
Here is the shovel after some cleaning with lemon acid
I cleared a lot of rust from folding mechanizm but it still dont work
Looking good so far...
But you can use a rotary brush attached to a drilling machine for a faster cleaning. And the mechanism can be unstuck by fixing the blade in a vice and force the tail section left-right with a longer piece of pipe put over it.
Before that, you could tap the mechanism with a small hammer, so the small bits of lose dirt and rust would fall off.
And also a bit of WD-40 or other penetrating oil on the mechanism would help
It's not a flimsy piece so a bit of rougher treatment won't hurt.
Rotary brush and hammer already used i wil try to move it with pipe as you say. I am carefull because its my first thing that I dig
Please post pic of wooden handle if you could.
