    Hi Tim,
I rechecked the 20mm round in the sun today and it does have decernable markings. You can see from the pics condition is not great.

Wartime British-made 20mm cartridge headstamps for comparison.
Hispano (20x110) on the left, Oerlikon (20x110RB) on the right.

LUCKYSTRIKE, your "0" looks, from the photo, to be next to a "2" and "mm", I know this sounds silly but can you measure across the center of the rim for me?
Cheers, it might help identify the shell, Simon.

As a note I've just found an "ST" marked 20mm shell on the web, not much info, but here's the link:-

The spark plug is a American AC sparkplug. They also made .50 calibre Browning M2AC and M2HB guns.

ST is usually found on 20mm cases made at ROF Steeton, Yorkshire.

Still cleaning most of my finds, if any one could help on the dog tag please do.

Sorry if the pictures aren't very good. It reads:

    MANFORD L FOLTZ
    37152647 T42 A
    HENRY L FOLTZ
    221 1ST A?VE
    SPEARFISH S D P

    Many thanks,
    John
I found this quite intresting so I did 5 minutes of diging on line and Manford L foltz is still alive as far as my research reveals.

I also have a phone number and address, it must be him as everything fits. Would you like the details off via pm?
