    Howdy Mad;
    For a relic I would pay $50.00 to $75.00. All it really is, is a piece of scrap steel.

    Sorry iv got to disagree..... this battlefield relic to me would hold more history to it than most minty guns. If its been recovered from a battlefield then theres no doubt that its seen real action, definatly not a scrap piece.....
    Seen these sell in the u.k for 100-200 lately depending on condition, i think the europeans know that these relics are becoming quite desirable, and starting to ask for a higher price

    Hi,
    i agree with gibba, it depends on where it was found and what battlefield it came from ( if known ) it would have provenance
    and the history would keep the price high. It is an expensive item to buy in the U.K, perhaps not so in the U.S, but the europeans
    have the market.

    Your P-38 from the valuation sounds to be in very good condition.
    A relic on the other hand usually is just a piece of junk steel and not a functional fire arm.

    Not much more we can do!
    Thise is something you will have to figure out for yourself.
    Are you goign to collect for your own pleasure or for others comments....
    Have a search on the word "relic" or " groundug" and see what some of us do collect.
