What type of vehicle could this light be from

Article about: I think the bulldozer or an APC would be good candidates. I have found quite a few parts from the British Bren gun Carrier and bulldozer tracks on the Eastern Front. Well done Ade Regards, L

    Default What type of vehicle could this light be from

    I came across this relic light today that i have had for a few years & was told it was off a German vehicle that was dug up in poland , so can anyone place it too any type of vehicle ? I know it is a long shot

    It is a US Blackout driving light.

    These were fitted to almost all US vehicle types.

    So it was off a Lend Lease vehicle most likely used by the Red Army.

    Not many US vehicles had blackout lights attached directly to their headlights.
    It should be fairly easy to ID.

    My WWII vehicle reference manual shows only tanks, armored cars and
    halftracks as likely suspects. Trucks and utility vehicles have separate
    housings - usually attached to the fenders.........
