martyn i dont know of any listings myself still too little is available on the BFK and obv those who survived dont really talk about it , theres a guy in australia who was a member but from what little i have garnered theres no official reports of them fighting as a combat effective unit however that doesnt mean some didnt go and fight the " red peril" in some capacity

equally possible yet rare is the BFK just another idea some of them must have been sent to the ost in some manner
The BFK were never at Narva , they only got anywhere near to the front in early 1945 when they were briefly attached to SS Auklarungs Abt 11 before Felix Steiner sent them packing.

Just recalled something There was a German / American Untersturmfuhrer who was killed at Johvi in March 1944 and reportedly he had an German/English man serving with him in III SS Panzer Korps , no other details known about the guy but there could be a possibility ......................... !!

How close was it to the surface? Is it possible that someone after the war might of picked it up and scratched some tatt on it before throwing it away? In example, you get war-time K98's coming out of post-war Serbia with "SS" carved into the butt and scratched into the blueing, and all manner of weird things.

These items are all way down in back filled trenches.

Back filled you say? So its possible that someone could have tampered with it before backfilling the trench? I.E. it may not have been a period scribble? You see alot of 1920's rubbish backfilled into WWI trenches, and the same with Roman contexts and so on. I found a coke bottle two months ago in a Roman leather tannery - turned my stratigraphy (5 hours of planning) to rat shit.

It's possible but not very likely due to the combat that took place here.
